"first alert" traffic reporter jillian mele. good morning. >> good morning. traveling through i-95 and 141 mlb boulevard keep in mind lane restrictions out there until sock th 10:00 this had morning. the northeast extension looks good. with the long-term normal construction out there but we're not reporting any accidents on 76. vine at 76, westbound as drivers head out to the schuylkill expressway. that's where it gets busy later on, but it's clear. 14 minutes from the blue route to the vine. and from the blue route, 18 minutes. a deadly crash along 422 in north coventry chester county a car hit and killed a construction worker on the job. nbc10's monique braxton is live on the scene with new

information. monique, what can you tell us? >> reporter: tracy, just moments ago, we learned that westbound 422 has been reopened. and a short time ago. i went inside the police chief's headquarters here, into his office and spoke to him about the person killed. here's video of the crash for you. investigators say it happened about 11:00. the chief police tells us 60-year-old broyer was hit by a car. the driver did stop and offer assistance. investigators are reconstructing the accident here at police headquarters. in the next half hour, the chief tells us they hope to release further information on the website. they'll have that information for you within the half hour. right now, monique braxton "nbc10 news." this morning, we have new information about an army

uniform controversy that we told you about this week. an army veteran accused this man of stolen valor while shopping at the oxford valley mall. ryan burke said he noticed something wrong about shawn yetman's movement. we want to be clear, yetman has not been clamped with a crime in the case but we learned about his past. ten years ago, he pretended to be a philadelphia police officer who died in the line of duty. nbc10's jesse gary is looking at how serious an offense to pose as eye a soldier. what you have learned? >> reporter: vai, the fbi prosecutes these types of cases, and they say they've never had more alleged acts. this room in green bay, wisconsin, filled with clothing from impostors. other items such as certificates have obvious errors or

misspellings. investigators from the fbi say they will use these as potential gains and that is a crime. >> the notion that this is somehow a victimless crime is absurd. >> reporter: coming up in 30 minutes, i called the doylestown police department requesting a mug shot of the man who impersonated the deceased cop pip i'm show you pictures from ten years ago. >> happening today, a convicted cop killer on pennsylvania's death row is schedule to be executed. the case involves the bucks county murder of newtown police officer brian gregg in 2005, robert anthony flur pleaded guilty. it happened while he grabbed his gun having a blood test during a dui arrest. also today, the sentencing hearing for oswaldo rivera will

be held in camden. a jury convicted rivera of murdering a 6-year-old in a 2012 break-in. rivera also stabbed dominique's older sister amber who survived. was trying to protect his sister. the search for missing college student shane montgomery. classmates held a candlelight vigil for him. shane disappeared last week after a night out with friends in manayunk. they lit candles to show support for the ongoing search. the reward is now up to $31,000 for choose leading to finding shane. >> a wonderful support system.

for an informational meeting on radon. after record levels of it turned up in a home. experts can be there at upper saucon township. a home in center valley recorded the highest rates ever measured in pennsylvania. today, health officials will hold a vaccination clinic following a hepatitis scare at a pizzeria. a worker is now in the hospital with hepatitis a. officials say people may have been exposed with the virus from november 10th to december 1st. if you recently ate at rosa's, you can get a vaccination. and it costs $35 per person. good morning.

new york city police officer in the choke hold death of a black man. nbc's tracie potts has more from washington. >> black lives matter. >> reporter: that phrase "black lives mater" is trending on twitter thus morning. after snarled washington in the south and west coast. >> our history sadly requires us to say that black lives matter. >> reporter: video of eric garner saying i can't breathe was not enough to indict. a coroner called it a homicide. >> this is not a new york issue nor a ferguson issue alone. >> this isn't a black issue and it isn't a white issue it isn't a latino issue, it's an american issue.

>> when anybody isn't being treated under the law. >> i'm determined to get justice for my husband. how can we put out trust in the justice system when they fail us like this? >> reporter: daniel pantaleo the officer who was not indicted said in the statement, it is never my intention to harm anyone and i feel very bad about the death of mr. garner. we've also learned that lore lore rest that lynch the nominee will be leading the justice department investigation. there are new developments in the ray rice scandal. the baltimore ravens denied his wife's claim that the team convinced her to apologize in the tv interview back in may. on the "today" show earlier this week, january anyway rice said the ravens suggested she apologize for her involvement in the couple's domestic violence incident. the ravens say that's not true.

the team said it gave rice talking points which he accepted. when asked if he wanted coaching, he said she's good, she knows what to say. michael grant goes by the name philly jesus. he's the one in the white performing a baptism in love park fountain. police arrested him in love park last month and charged him with disorderly conduct and failure to disperse. grant pleaded not guilty in court yesterday. syracuse families are out of their homes in home in bucks county. investigators believe the fire in levittown started a gas explosion. but they're still trying to figure out what caused yesterday's blast. we talked to several residents who said they had heard the explosion and alerted their neighbors. >> a big bang happened.

we're following breaking news right now out of montgomery county. this say live picture from a fire scene. a house fire in sanatoga. you can see that was a house. the house is destroyed. this fire we're told started around 2:00 a.m. again, you see fire crews still on that scene. this is sanatoga, montgomery county. no injuries. this morning, nasa will launch its newest space ship orion for its first test flight into space. here's a live look at cape canaveral. the launch is scheduled for a couple hours away. 7:05 to be exact. there's talk of another possible mission to earth's moon. today's flight will be unmanned. the best time to book, when experts say you should get your plane tickets for your holiday trips. and a rare read into the life of abraham lincoln.

happening today, philadelphia mayor michael nutter will be honored in washington. governing magazine will give nutter a 2014 public official of the year award. the staff at governing says nutter is being honored for his work in creating a cleaner, safer and fiscally sound city. the camden count still police department honored several honors. i had the honor of being the master of ceremonies. each quarter, the department holds a ceremony to recognize people for the positive impact they have on camden. a cash-strapped local city turns to the power of crowdsourcing to raise money. for the go funding campaign, they need to raise $80,000 to get high-definition security
